Foyn Harbour lies between Nansen Island and Enterprise Island. It was named by whalers after Svend Foyn’s whaling factory which was moored here during 1921-2. The islands in this area are still covered with artifacts from the whaling period. This includes chain and metal anchoring points attached to the rocks, wooden boats visible both on land and on the ocean floor and a partially submerged shipwreck, the Gouvenøren.
